千葉県東金市に“お祭り”が復活してから、はや数年の月日が流れた。東金市で生まれ育ち、地元の学校・鴇金高校に通う１年生の「時坂めぐる」は、愛着は持ちつつも事件も何も起こらない地元・東金市に退屈を覚え、友人の「湖西もも」と「城野ひめこ」と共に、毎日を悶々と過ごしていた。ある日、めぐるたちは東金市に古くからある日吉神社の巫女「神代すばる」と偶然出会う。数年前に復活した“お祭り”が、すばるをはじめとした鴇金高校の先輩たちの手によるものだと知らされためぐるたちは、東金市の歴史の深さも同時に知り、街の成り立ちに興味を持ち始める。その姿をうれしく思ったすばるは、とある行動に出ることに。それはめぐるたちの想像を遥かに超える、不思議な出来事の始まりであった――
